The Mid-Autumn Festival has all interesting history. Long ago in one of the dynasties of China there was a king who was very cruel to the people and did not manage the country well. The people were so angry that some brave ones suggested killing the king. So they wrote notes telling about the meeting place and time and put them into cakes. On the 15th day of the 8th lunar month every person was told to buy the cakes. When they ate them they discovered the notes. So they gathered together to make a sudden attack on the king. From then on the Chinese people celebrate on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month and eat "moon cakes" in memory of that important event.
When the Mid-Autumn Festival is near, shop windows are beautifully decorated. Many "moon cakes" are displayed for people to buy. People send presents such aswine, fruits and "moon cakes" to their friends and relatives. In the evening of the day, they have a feast. After the feast, they go out to the garden to look at the moon. The children run and laugh on the streets.
It is believed that the moon is at her brightest on this night. Many poems have been written about it, and poets are never tired of reading and writing such poems. In Chinese literature, the moon of the Mid Autumn Festival has been pared to a looking-glass, a jade rabbit, and so on. It seems that Chinese literature takes far more interest in the moon than in the sun.

I think Mid-Autumn Day is an old traditional festival in China. Everybody likes it because it's a family get-together. You see it is called"Mid-Autumn Day", so it often comes in September or October. Firstly, I'd like to say something about the moon. I like it very much because I want to be an astronaut in the future. 农村中学生在英语学习过程普遍存在英语基础不扎实、学习能力不强、缺乏信心， 和
对学校英语缺乏兴趣等不利因素。农村英语教学一直是教师们关注的问题，农村中学生多数英语阅读能力和听力较差，随之产生口语和写作能力也不高的现象。
一 农村中学生英语写作中的问题和原因。
常期以来，英语作文都是先学生完成，上交后由教师批改，用红笔圈出错误的地方。学生拿到修改过的作文，看到满纸的红圈圈，学习积极性会受到打击。这样不利于学生兴趣的提升。新课标强调要关注学生的情感，调动学生学习的积极性，激发学习的动机。同时，能使学生形成互相探讨和合作完成学习任务的习惯。
张北县S中学高二162班学生都来自农村，男女各18人。他们都重视英语的学习，但是基础差，写作能力弱。在高二第一学期，笔者作为本班英语教师通过访谈，统计了学生提出的英语写作能力差的原因是：训练方法不恰当，写不好词汇句子，以及兴趣低是主要的焦点。因而加强写作方法指导，加强词汇和造句能力，增多写作机会才是当务之急。但是高中教学任务重，课时紧，学生两极分化明显，都是不利条件。为了解决这些问题，笔者认为找到有效的作文训练和批改方法是必要的。
二 教师方法指导，学生小组互助式作文训练的意义。
为了调动学生的写语写作兴趣和积极性，结合《高中英语课程标准》中"学生应提高合作学习，利用资源提高英语学习技能和策略...... "要求，笔者采用了分组作文训练，互助学习提高的方法。具体的做法是，162班分成为六个学习小组，组长由英语优秀学生担任，组员按比例分配。六位组长首先是教师培训的对象，教师告诉他们每周一次或多次的训练内容以及方法，然后让这几个组长当小先生。对组员的作文批改，然后组内找时间讨论改正后，交教师指导。
这一过程进行一学期的时间。笔者也在这一过程开始前统计了第一学期高二全市统考162班学生的英语作文成绩，以备和下学期统考作文成绩对比。笔者将通过计算个人分数变化，全班平均分数变化来验证这一方法的成败。
三 本班学生互助式作文训练的过程和效果。
这一方法在实施前，要求征得学生的同意。学生都大力支持，好多学生要自荐当组长来配合老师的工作， 最后评选出了六位称职的组长，划分出了小组。首先，不能占用课堂太多时间，主要是用好学科自习和课余时间。比如，在讲解Book3 Unit 1 Festivals 这一单元时，学生得到的作文题目是： My Favorite Festival。于是，按排每周固定的英语自习时，组长第一步是组织组员进行构思，查阅相关材料，和收集素材。第二步是组员写初稿，组员将构思用语言表达出来，组内及时交流和讨论。有问题由组长提交给教师，同时要及时对学生问题反馈。比如有同学问中秋节如何写，节日前加不加冠词，还有时态是现在时还是过去时等等问题。教师都一一作答。第三步是正式稿，首先组长作出书写方面的统一要求：字体要端正和规范，字母与字母，词与词都分开，不要挤在一起。注意正确使用英文中的标点符号，不要和中文标点混用。注意分段和大小写的变化。正式稿不能有涂改现象，不然会影响卷面整洁。
组员写好后，在组内互判互评，由组长评出不同分数。最后六位组长再评出班内最好的文章和最好的组，优秀的英语作文还让每个同学学习，背诵或为报社和刊物投稿。经过一段时间的训练，学生们习惯了这种方式的写作训练，大家提高了英语写作的兴趣，同时也提高了写作水平。
在一学期小组互组式作文训练中，四个小组评为优秀小组，三位组长评为优秀组长。不同水平的同学都有了提高。在高二下学期的全市统考中，162班英语作文提高5分。而大部分未进行作文训练的班级成绩与上次持平。通过对比，笔者发现这种分组互助作文训练的方法是有效的，它能够提高农村中学生的英语写作水平和兴趣。
四 结论与反思
通过对S中学162班的互助式作文训练，结合合作性学习和任务性教学的要求，提高了学生合作式学习的能力，学到了提高英语写作的一些方法。但在训练和讨论中，也有学生不主动参与，个别组有时纪律差，影响讨论的效果。
总的情况来看，分组互助式作文训练能够通过写作来带动学生对词汇，语法和句子的理解和记忆，学生能养成好的写作习惯和学习习惯都是很有益的事情。歌德说过 "任何理论都是苍白的，而生命之树常青。"对学生光有说教是不够的，只有让他们多参与才会达到好的效果。
