we are young. “how to spend the youth?” it is a meaningful question. to answer it, first i have to ask “what do you understand by the word youth?” youth is not a time of life, it’s a state of mind. it’s not a matter of rosy cheeks, red lips or supple knees. it’s the matter of the will. it’s the freshness of the deep spring of life.
a poet said “to see a world in a grain of sand, and a heaven in a wild flower, hold infinity in the palm of your hand, and eternity in an hour. several days ago, i had a chance to listen to a lecture. i learnt a lot there. i’d like to share it with all of you. let’s show our right palms. we can see three lines that show how our love.career and life is. i have a short line of life. what about yours? i wondered whether we could see our future in this way. well, let’s make a fist. where is our future? where is our love, career, and life? tell me.yeah, it is in our hands. it is held in ourselves.
we all want the future to be better than the past. but the future can go better itself. don’t cry because it is over, smile because it happened. from the past, we’ve learnt that the life is tough, but we are tougher. we’ve learnt that we can’t choose how we feel, but we can choose what about it. failure doesn’t mean you don’t have it, it does mean you should do it in a different way. failure doesn’t mean you should give up, it does mean you must try harder.
as what i said at the beginning, “we are reading the first verse of the first chapter of a book, whose pages are infinite”. the past has gone. nothing we do will change it. but the future is in front of us. believe that what we give to the world, the world will give to us. and from today on, let’s be the owners of ourselves, and speak out “we are the world, we are the future.”

itake with me the memory of friday afternoon acm happy hours, known not for kegs of beer, but rather bowls of rainbow sherbet punch. over the several years that i attended these happy hours they enjoyed varying degrees of popularity, often proportional to the quality and quantity of the accompanying refreshments - but there was always the rainbow sherbert punch.
i take with me memories of purple parking permits, the west campus shuttle, checking my pendaflex, over-due library books, trying to print from cec, lunches on delmar, friends who slept in their offices, miniature golf in lopata hall, the greenway talk, division iii basketball, and trying to convince dean russel that yet another engineering school rule should be changed.
finally, i would like to conclude, not with a memory, but with some advice. what would a graduation speech be without a little advice, right? anyway, this advice comes in the form of a verse delivered to the 1977 graduating class of lake forest college by theodore seuss geisel, better known to the world as dr. seuss - here's how it goes:
my uncle ordered popovers from the restaurant's bill of fare. and when they were served, he regarded them with a penetrating stare . . . then he spoke great words of wisdom as he sat there on that chair: "to eat these things," said my uncle, "you must excercise great care. you may swallow down what's solid . . . but . . . you must spit out the air!"
and . . . as you partake of the world's bill of fare, that's darned good advice to follow. do a lot of spitting out the hot air. and be careful what you swallow.

中国体育报《高校体育“硬伤”》中指出:“大学生对参加体育课和增强体育锻炼的集体忽视,使体育正成为大学生教育中相对薄弱的一环。”学生体质测试国家统计数据显示:中小学生体质下降出现拐点,但大学生体质健康下滑趋势目前依然没有得到遏制。在很多指标上,大学生甚至不如中学生。大多数学生把本该是体育锻炼的时间都用于电子产品的玩乐上了。他们平时宅在宿舍中,生活没规律,“今天睡今天起”成了他们作息的常态。学生身体素质下降,课上锻炼积极性不高,课下不锻炼已经成了不争的事实,高校体育课越来越难上。如何从电子产品手中抢夺学生,让他们不仅认识到体育锻炼的重要性,而且切实投入到体育锻炼中来,还得从思想认识上寻求突破,给他们专业的知识和方法,体育讲座无疑是一个很好的途径。一场好的体育讲座不仅可以繁荣校园体育文化,普及体育知识,增加大学生体育视野,开拓大学生的眼界,更可以启迪学生的心灵,发挥体育立德树人的作用。
一、体育讲座的概念
体育讲座是指与本专业领域相关的人士(校外专家、明星,本校知名教师、学者等)将相关知识、技能、方法手段及前沿性的研究和进展在短时间内通过讲演的形式传授给听众(学生)。讲座是大学校园内主流课程之外一个重要的传授知识,培养人才的途径。
二、体育讲座的分类
体育讲座按照主讲的内容分为指导性讲座、体育技能讲座、体育文化知识讲座、体育康复保健类讲座等四大类。
(一)体育指导性讲座
体育的作用和价值已经不言而喻。对身体而言,体育锻炼可以增强体质,提高肌肉力量和心肺功能,达到抵抗疾病,塑造体形的目的;对心理来讲,体育运动可以缓解压力、释放情绪,由此带来的健美体形可以增加锻炼者的自信心、愉悦感和成就感;同时对社会交往也很有帮助,通过锻炼结交新朋友,形成积极稳定的社交圈子;从长远看对下一代也会产生积极的影响,积极健康的生活方式,锻炼习惯,无形中会对下一代的产生带动作用。可以说体育的价值体现在生活的方方面面。
指导性讲座就是结合体育的价值,给大学生以切实的人生指导,从心灵深处唤起对体育的热情,引导他们养成健康的生活方式,主讲人除了本专业的专家老师外,还可请体育美学、心理学、社会学等相关专业的专家老师主讲。
(二)体育技能讲座
在唤起学生的热情之后,还要给予他们正确的锻炼方法和技能,体育技能讲座主要解决学生体育锻炼中的可能面临问题的讲座。最直接的是结合学生关心的体质测试项目,分析每项测试的目的和技术要领是什么,如何提高该项目技能的方法手段以及测试时的注意事项等,让学生锻炼有的放矢,尽快提高体测成绩。另外,科学健身知识也是学生所欠缺的,比如如何区分有氧和无氧运动,哪些项目属于有氧,哪些项目属于无氧,这些项目都是发展人体的哪些功能,以及不同运动项目锻炼前、锻炼中、锻炼后各阶段各应该怎么做等等。第三类是分专题的各专项讲座,比如三大球,小球类,田径不同项目的技术、战术和高水平比赛赏析,让学生先从理论上了解该项目,为他们的实际锻炼提供指导。
(三)体育文化知识讲座
体育文化知识涵盖面非常广泛,但学生感兴趣的主要是结合热门比赛开展的文化延伸讲座。比如:足球世界杯的历史渊源、各队实力强弱分析、时代球星、比赛胜负预测等等;其次是常规运动赛事组织的相关知识,比如编排组,如何组织报名、报名后如何编组、确定赛程赛制,名次的录取等。后勤保障组如何做好场地、器材、医疗等后勤保障工作。奥林匹克的由来、传承及主要事件也是学生感兴趣的一个点。
(四)体育康复保健
运动中的损伤防不胜防,体育康复保健知识主要是针对运动中可能出现的伤害情况进行应对的办法的讲座。主要包括:常见运动损伤的种类;运动损伤的预防,运动损伤的包扎固定方式和康复保健措施――可以请医务人员来讲解相知识,还包括减肥塑体时运动处方的制定,运动负荷的安排,能量的摄入等等。
三、体育讲座对大学生体育发展的影响
大学体育讲座作为传播体育知识和文化的一个重要途径,是高校精神文明建设的重要组成部分。它们对于繁荣校园体育文化,普及体育知识,增加大学生的视野,开拓大学生的眼界,发挥了至关重要的作用。
(一)解决思想上的惰性,启迪大学生的心智
调查问卷显示:几乎所有学生都能认识到体育的重要性,但他们中的大部分学生由于种种原因不愿意参与到体育运动中来,比如没有锻炼习惯,怕累,缺乏技能,没有时间等。要想让学生走出宿舍,走出网络,走向操场,首先要从思想上进行动员,解决精神上的惰性,体育指导性的讲座主要针对这类情况而设。在听一场好讲座的过程中,大学生不仅能够开拓视野,放宽眼界,也能更好地认识自己、调整目标,甚至可能改变思维方式,启迪思想和心智。
(二)提高大学生的体育知识和技能
缺乏体育专业知识和技能也是妨碍学生走向操场的障碍之一。体育知识和技能讲座主要是给大学生提供方法上的指导,作为体育课堂的有效补充。讲座主讲人一般都是具有较强专业的老师和专家教授,他们丰富的专业知识、高水平的技能和高效的锻炼方法,都可以为大学生带来实际的指导。
(三)帮助大学生树立正确的人生观和世界观
在体育讲座自由的空间里,大学生有机会和来自各专业领域的专家和名人正面接触,能从中了解到许多生活中接触不到的事情。可以领略专家的口才艺术,丰富知识,开阔视野,培养创新意识,聆听他们的观点和见解,了解他们学术人生的平凡与伟大,能帮助大学生树立正确的世界观,确定人生目标,完善自己的道德修养。
四、体育讲座在校园的运作模式
体育讲座的运作模式直接影响着讲座的效果,建立规范合理的讲座运行机制,可以保证讲座的高效运转。
(一)精心策划讲座主题
体育部领导应就讲座的认识、形式、内容和方法等问题进行全面思考,精心策划讲座主题,分类设计形成系列,按老师强项分配主题,来解决讲座内容无序化和随意性强的问题,加强高校体育讲座的导向性,增强讲座的吸引力。尽可能邀请校内外各界知名人士来主讲,讲座的内容应该更加丰富有益,尽可能满足学生的实际需要。
(二)丰富讲座互动方式
讲座方式上应力求创新,尽量避免单向灌输、空谈理论,真正有思想性的讲座是要让学生和教师平等自由交流,积极寻求和创造互动空间。师生们在相互学习、共享知识的平台上激发和产生创造力。组织者应该为学生提供一个高起点、高水准的交流平台,拓宽学生的学术视野,启发创新思维,培养“知行合一”的使命感和责任感。
(三)讲座信息的和频次设计
讲座应找专人统一管理,时间尽量避免与学校大型活动、学生上课考试和社团时间冲突。实现信息渠道多元化、及时性、有效性,可以在校园网上开设固定的讲座专栏,及时讲座信息。也可以开设学生预约渠道,学生根据自己感兴趣的专题进行预约,从而使上下信息渠道畅通无阻。讲座的频次一个月一至两次为宜,采取定期(校内教师系列)与不定期(校外知名教练或体育明星)相结合的方式。
(四)学校应加大对讲座的支持力度,
我校对学术讲座有相关的支持力度,比如每场500元资金支持和15分的聘期考核分值。但体育部近三年讲座次数统计为零。准备一场学术讲座费时费力,学生有时也不买账。要想让学校学术讲座形成氛围,学校应加大奖励力度,并做好监察和监督,确保讲座的质量。硬性规定老师每学期讲座次数,要求每个单位设立专门学术讲座场地,配备现代化多媒体设施,安排专人负责。学生处、团委应配合讲座开展,规定每生每学期应参加一定数量的学术讲座,折合课时计入学分,来调动学生的积极性,
