父子是各自生命中最重要的角色之一，在父亲节时看父子题材电影，“不在此山中”：或许能把自己的父子关系梳理得更清晰。《三国演义》归纳三国只有八个字：分久必合，合久必分。父子电影要表达的父子关系，归纳起来更简单，仅“起、承、转、合”四个字而已。起承转合，是古代文人写文言文时的四部曲，父子关系是一卷书，比文言还古老，比古文还耐人寻味。
起：舔犊情深深
“起”是父子情的初级阶段。孩子刚降生，父子情就开始演绎。这类电影中的父子情，主要表现的是中年男人对“小屁孩”的“一厢情愿”。
“媳妇熬成婆”和“守得云开见月明”是同义词，“儿子升成爹”和“出来混总是要还的”也可以等量代换。从“子”到“父”的角色转变，意味着受到的关爱从“顺差”到“逆差”的转换。
很多父子情深的场景都出现在单亲家庭中，而且父亲大都穷困潦倒。妻子因为各种原因而不能和丈夫共患难，而子女却始终对其“不抛弃、不放弃”。《当幸福来敲门》中的威尔・史密斯父子无家可归时睡在公厕还能乐得其所；《长江七号》中星爷爷儿俩在炎炎夏日能吹上电风扇就知足常乐；《阿郎的故事》中大小发哥一起在工地上痛并快乐着……
妻子不能与自己共患难而拂袖离去，这抹去了他们作为男人的自信，而孩子对他的全身心依赖，让他重拾自信，原来自己依然被需要着：《当幸福来敲门》中威尔・史密斯绞尽脑汁考证券交易员，只是为了让孩子不再睡厕所；《阿郎的故事》中发哥再度出山做赏金车手，只是为了捍卫孩子的抚养权。这些男人，都因为孩子而再度“老夫聊发少年狂”。
这类型的电影，全少得看两遍才能看出内核：第一遍看老父们舔犊情深的煽情；第二遍看老男人们舔自己伤口的悲情 为孩子而奋斗，是出于责任，但更是为了应对自己的中年危机。
承：上阵父子兵
“承”是父子情的进阶期。当孩子慢慢长大，父子关系从父亲在感情上的单向输出到父子双向互动。
为人父母最开心的事莫过于“吾家有儿初长成”。孩子长大成人，虽然不意味着“舔犊”的结束，也不一定是“反哺”的开始，但却给“上阵父子兵”提供了可能。“你并不是一个人在战斗”是鼓舞人心的，何况上阵的他还“以父之名”。
别以为娱乐圈里就陈强、陈佩斯是父子档，在电影里，上阵父子兵是正常现象。最感人的是《金色池塘》，亨利・方达和简・方达把他们的父女关系衍生到电影中。这是个感人全深的故事，但更感人的事情则发生在电影之外：那时亨利・方达年事已高，身为女儿已贵为影后的简・方达策划了这电影，让父亲终于圆了奥斯卡小金人之梦；最默契的是《当幸福来敲门》，威尔・史密和斯贾登・史密斯，在现实中就是父子，他们只把现实中的幸福秀一点出来就成就了世人认为的父子情典范；最匹配的是捷克电影《给我一个爸》，儿子导演杨・斯维拉克请他老爸做主演，虽然他们在电影中出演的并不是父子，老爸只是在为儿子打工，但却为彼此打出了国际名声。
而李连杰主演的《给爸爸的信》，父子背靠背和黑帮PK；《爱国者》中梅尔・吉卜森率领众儿子和英军作战，《那山、那人、那狗》中子承父业做乡村邮递员；《大河恋》中父子三人_同在河中钓鱼；《偷自行车的人》中父子一起在街上寻找被偷的自行车；《武状元苏乞儿》中父子一起乞讨一一他们做的是什么无关紧要，主要的是他们无论做什么都在一起，这便是“父子情”的最高境界。
转：无仇不父子
“转”是父子关系的裂变。儿子长大的过程，其实就是一场反抗父权的斗争。
对于孩子来说，无论和蔼还是威严，父亲都是一座压在心头的大山。因为父亲总是觉得让孩子在自己翅膀下被遮风挡雨无可厚非，而孩子总是认为“我的地盘，我做主”天经地义。理念的不同必然导致行为上决裂，因此无论是全面还是局部，积极还是消极，每个孩子都注定会向自己的老爸开火。于是，随着孩子年龄的增长，父子关系也开始变得不稳定。
《父子》的宣传口号“无仇不父子”，只一句话就捅破父子关系这层窗户纸；《大鱼》中，老爸一直在讲述自己曾经的“光辉岁月”，以前他把过去讲得越光鲜儿子就对他越崇敬，但如今只要他一提起当年勇儿子就反感；《燃情岁月》大儿子认为老头子偏爱他弟弟们，因而心生芥蒂，以致父子矛盾不可调和；《回归》中小儿子不能原谅父亲在他成长过程中―直缺席，后来却突然回归的父亲；而《跳出我天地》中的父子爆发冲突，只因为父亲希望儿子能像自己一样当拳击手，但儿子却只想当“娘娘腔”的芭蕾舞演员……
父与子，是传与承，国人把这过程比喻成“续香火”。男人可以横眉冷对干夫指，却不能承受后继无人之轻，“前不见古人，后不见来者”是男人们能想到的最悲凉的事情。因此，父与子的冲突是最残酷的，看这类型的电影必须要有强悍的内心。
合：借你一个爸
“合”说的是父子关系中的“围城”心理。有“父子”羁绊的人觉得这样太麻烦，但是没有“父子”的人，却认为“父子情”看上去很美。表现在电影中，就是忘年交开始超越血缘关系。

一、 引言
根据英国语言学家G・Leech的语义学理论，言语的语义是指其字面上的逻辑意义(logical meaning)，亦被称之为理性意义(rational meaning)。语势则是指在特定的语境中，说话人言语的言外之意。所谓言外之意也就是Leech所说的“情景条件描写意义”，即语境意义。
美国意象派诗人Ezra Pound曾提出，语势（energy in language）是指语言之势，语词之势。[2] Pound强调语言是有其自身生命力的，是可以应“势”而变的，强调释放蕴含在语言中的“势”。因此，语势在于变化，在于创新，在于在言语之间建立新的联系。这样的创新可以赋予语言应有的“势”。语义和语势在一般情况下通常是一致的,翻译起来比较容易;但在一些特殊语境中,我们常会遇到语义和语势不一致的现象,翻译时则需要考虑其差异,以实现双语等义的交际功能。
一般情况下，语言交际中的语义与语势是一致的。但是在某些特定的语境中，语义与语势也会出现不一致的现象。于是，在进行字幕翻译时，要让观众了解影视作品的本意，就必须区别语义与语势，只有在准确的把握两者之间的关系才能准备表达出原文的真正含义。
二、语义与语势的不一致
在影片中人物的对话交流中，语义与语势并非都是一致的。译者在翻译过程中，要准确地把握语义与语势之间的关系。根据上下语境正确判断出谁重谁轻，准确地传达原文的真实言语含义与人物思想。
在美剧《美女上错身》中，Teri的弟弟面临着被逐出国境的危险，Jane为了鼓励Teri的母亲说出Teri弟弟的真实身份，曾这样说道， “Do you know what I love about your daughter? She speaks up, and she is not afraid of anything.”
译文1：知道我为何欣赏你女儿吗？她仗义执言，她无所畏惧。
译文2：知道我喜欢你女儿什么吗？她有话就说，什么都不怕。
译文1的两个四字短语将原文的语势凸显得淋漓尽致。作为律师的Jane，一直以来也将“仗义执言，无所畏惧”作为自己的行动指南。她当然也非常欣赏自己秘书身上的这种个性与气质。如果译者译成了“她有话就说，什么都不怕”，则会显得过于平淡，虽然没有出现任何翻译失误，亦完整地将语义表达，但原语中的所蕴含的赞美之意却完全没有表现出来。
可见，语义的表达是字幕翻译的第一步，语势的释放则是另一层境界。
在《老友记》中有这样一幕，Monica抱怨她与Chandler的周年纪念日，她给Chandler送了一块价值五百美元的手表，而Chandler却写了一首说唱歌曲送给她。
Monica：Oh, well, I bought Chandler a five hundred dollar watch and he wrote me a rap song.
Ross：Seriously?
Chandler：Word!
Ross以为Monica在开玩笑，问Chandler情况是否属实。Chandler表示肯定。根据上下语境以及Chandler的人物个性，他并没有因为Monica的这样爆料他而感到非常羞愧，而是很镇定很淡然的说出了“Word!”在这里“word”是“black slang”，意思是“agreed, yes, you got it, that's true.” 如果仅仅是翻译成“是的/没错”那就缺少了Chandler那份镇定淡然的语势。笔者认为如果译成“千真万确！”效果更佳。
三、语义与语势的一致
并非所有的言语都暗含言外之意，有些台词的语义与语势是一致的，只需将其基本语义翻译出来，就能够表达出原文的真正含义。《老友记》中有这样一个片段，Ross与Charlie交往不久，他得知Charlie的前任男友要么是诺贝尔奖获得者（Nobel Prize winner），要么是天才奖学金得主(Genius Scholarship winner)，他感到非常沮丧。当Ross被问道约会情况怎么样时，他这样回答：
Rachel: How is it going with Charlie?
Ross: Oh great! After I finish my wine, I’m going to blow my average-sized brains out.
与Charlie的前任相比，显然Ross感到自愧不如，他意识到自己根本没法跟Charlie的前任去比。于是他想“blow the average-sized brains out”（他想喝完这杯酒就毙了自己的这颗平庸的脑袋。）这句话的翻译，只需要把基本的语义译出来就可以达到应有的效果，它并没有更深的言外之意，所以不需要再费神去挖掘它的语势。因为按照语义的翻译就已经可以表达出原语的语势。
四、零语义与零语势现象
当遇到引入语，如guess what, you know, you see, you know what, I mean, well, 这类没有承载任何实际语义，更不蕴含任何语势的词语时,它们的出现只是在功能上起到一定作用。作为话语标记语黏附于句子上，使说话者的话语表达更加连贯，译者可以省去不译。
五、结语
影视作品是各个民族和国家之间文化交流的桥梁。随着中外影视文化交流的日益频繁，字幕翻译受到越来越多的专家、学者的关注。笔者根据具体实例，对影视字幕翻译中的语义与语势的一致性与不一致性进行了探讨，以期有助于影视字幕翻译活动的更好进行，提高字幕翻译的质量，更好的传递影视作品的魅力，促进不同民族的文化交流和融合。

抓住关键信息，从中提炼富有一定表达主旨大意的内容，更利于学生从整体理解感知中获得更多的内容，利于他们获得深刻印象。借助自主阅读和质疑提炼的方法来活化阅读理解，更能够使得阅读具有明确的目标方向，让他们有更多的探知机会，也能使得文本内容有更多的“嚼劲”。
指导学生提炼关键信息，能使得他们有针对性阅读感知。如，在译林版（下同）英语八年级上册Unit 5 Birdwatcher的Reading Birds in Zhalong教学中，围绕The character about Zhalong和What did the birdwatcher watch？要求学生从中筛选出有效的信息点，引导他们有针对性找出其中的表述要点。在此基础上，可要求学生就筛选出地有效信息进行质疑，从文本中摘录出相应的前后语句，让他们由更多与教材文本进行对话的机会，给他们更多自由概括与总结的机会，能使得学生在主动提炼运用的过程中增强学习的内在动力。通过关键信息推动整体理解感知，能使得学生在主动调整优化学习策略方法的过程中开阔视野，提高语篇感知运用能力。
学生提炼关键信息过程，也是他们理解感知不断深入和丰富的过程，让他们能够在紧扣理解学习重点和难点地基础上拓展延伸，形成一定的语篇感知能力。围绕关键信息，引导学生进行深入延伸，让他们在摸清作者表达意图和文本素材中心要点的基础上主动概括，更能够使得阅读理解富有准确的目标方向。
二、强化小组协作，升华语感
利用群体的力量让学生在共读探知中集思广益，更能使得阅读变得生动多彩。小组协作所产生的阅读涟漪现象，使得学生有更多相互借鉴和学习的机会。小组协作，让阅读不再沉默，让阅读在议论纷纷的过程中找到学习的关键点。
小组协作，能使得阅读更有动感。如，在八年级下册Unit 4 A good read的Reading Gulliver in Lilliput教学中，为了帮助学生准确理解有关故事情节，我特意安排了小组合作，让学生能够有针对性互探空白。为此，我设计了如下的问题：How are you going to introduce the story？ Do you think it's an interesting and strange story？要求学生能结合其中的理解感知，主动说出相应的感悟体验。通过这样的小组协作，让学生在认真梳理相应知识要点的基础上，不仅能掌握作者表达意图，还能够使得他们在相互交流沟通的过程中提高英语表达综合运用能力，让他们有更多的灵活运用机会。

三、拓展课堂外延，开阔视野
将阅读当成是积淀文化素养和开阔眼界的起点，更能使得学生带着好奇心和新鲜感主动融入中。拓展延伸与英语课程标准所倡导的七至九年级学生“课外阅读量应积累达到15万词以上”不谋而合，对学生跨文化语言学习思维发展起到一定的推动促进作用。
拓展延伸文本，让学生跳出本本学习窠臼，让他们不再是“井底之蛙”。如，在八年级下册的Unit 5 Good manner 的Reading When in Rome阅读指导中，我根据When in Rome， do as the Roman do表达主题，向学生推荐了《千奇百怪问候方式》、《世界各地奇异风俗习惯》等课外读本，并要求学生根据阅读整理情况，以The strange greet为主题，找出其中相应的阅读文本素材，让学生能够在主动拓展延伸的过程中找到相应的文化知识。同时，组织学生以主题演讲的形式，就自己的所见、所闻、所感发表相应的意见和观点，让他们在展示才艺的过程中能学以致用。
