本单元的话题是交通工具，本单元的重点是学习如何询问和回答人们日常出行的方式，本单元的难点是学生能够熟练使用所学的语言询问并回答坐某种交通工具去某地。因此我觉得在课堂教学中，应该多创设情境，给学生提供综合运用语言的机会。注意与学生的日常生活联系，将目标语言运用于更多的真实情景之中，以加深学生对句型的理解。如B Let’s talk的教学，就以学生熟悉的话题How do you come to school?为切入点，询问学生每周一是怎样上学的？在询问的过程中相应完成P16页的Task time。在教学过程中创设适当的情景，不仅为学生提供了运用语言的环境，也能提高学生运用语言的能力，活跃课堂气氛，学生比较喜欢，教学效果也不错。
六年级的学生对交通规则都比较熟悉，他们思维活跃，已经具有一定的英语听、说、读、写能力，在已有的学习经历中，学习成就感和自信心的体验让多数同学逐步形成了稳定的兴趣，但学生的个体差异也使两极分化现象逐步显现。本课我充分发挥教师为主导，学生为主体的作用，利用卡片，以训练为主线，努力培养学生听、说、读、写四项基本技能。兼顾后进生的学习状况，给他们以更多的关心与指导，使他们也能在新的学习中，树立自信。如教学交通方式之前先出示学生学过的交通工具，再引入到交通方式的学习，学生了解了交通方式的构成结构是by+交通工具后，就能自主运用，如by jeep，by car等，这样新旧知识交融，也起到了温故而知新的作用。
课堂教学的精益求精是我在今后教学中应该追求的，任何时候都不应该满足于现状。要随时发现自己的不足之处，以便及时改正。比如，教学要面向全体学生，每上完一节课都要回顾一下，在这节课上是否仍存在着“死角”？课堂上的发言面是否达到了95％以上？学生们否能够主动地开口讲英语？只有不断地反思，才能取得更大进步。
