鉴于此，立足于学生的长足发展，为了更好地促进学生个性特长的发挥，促进学生语文综合素养的提高，笔者认为，在新课程下高中语文作业设计应趋向多元化，体现个性化。
一、尊重个性的差异，作业内容多样化
新课程下只有立足于学生实际，秉着“以人为本、尊重个性差异”的理念，才能实现“多元化评价学生”的可能。因而，语文教师在设计作业时也应该立足于学生的实际现状，打破传统所有学生做同样的练习题的单一局面，应该在既可以锻炼大家基础能力的同时，也应该在“尊重个性差异”的基础上充分把握学生本身实际，并根据学生语文素养的高低和自身特长等诸多因素，让设计的作业内容尽量趋于多样化。
比如教师在完成一首古诗的教学后，设计作业时就可以根据学生不同的个性差异，一方面让基础较为薄弱、迁移拓展能力暂时有困难的学生或通过基础习题、或通过背诵课文等方式反复加深对文本的理解，为以后知识的迁移拓展打下扎实的基础；另一方面让那一些基础比较扎实、知识迁移拓展能力相对较强的学生在掌握文本的情况下，可以尝试通过改写、仿写、课外比较阅读等方式，为他们提供发挥各自特长的机会，促进他们有个性地发展。
事实上这有利于培养学生学习的兴趣和提高学生的语文素养，某种程度上也正好体现了新课程下“促进学生均衡而有个性的发展”的理念。
二、教材紧密结合生活，作业形式多样化
新课程标准指出：“高中语文课程应注重应用，加强与社会发展、科技进步的联系，加强与其他课程的沟通，以适应现实生活或学生自我发展的需要。”实际上这就明确强调了语文学习必须要理论联系实际，要与生活紧密结合，我们应该等同看待语文和生活的外延。因而，教师在语文作业的设计上不仅要促进学生均衡而有个性的发展，而且还要关注身边事情、留意生活的内容，让语文作业形式多样化。
例如学习完郑愁予的《错误》后，可以尝试设计以下作业题（任选一题）：
1. 以个人或小组的形式到图书馆查找有关在中国古典诗词中出现过的类似的“美丽的错误”，并做简要分析。（口语、书面表达均可）
2. 尝试把文本改写成短幕剧并表演。
3. 辩论：“美丽的错误”是谁造成的？（正方观点：过客；反方观点：思妇。）
4. 罗大佑演唱的歌曲《错误》与文本在表达艺术上有哪些异同？
实践表明，设计这些作业内容不仅激发了学生积极参与的兴趣，而且还极大程度地开拓了他们的视野，增强了他们的合作探索意识，提高了学生的语文素养，最终促进了学生的自我发展。
三、打破传统教学观念，突破时空局限
传统的教学观念导致教师往往把完成语文作业的时空转移到了课堂之外，事实上这正是没有清楚地看到什么才是真正课堂的最优化的结果。教师应该打破传统教学观念，突破作业设计的时空限制，提倡新课程下的语文课堂留
出充足的时间，在完成教学任务的同时，应该立足学生的实际， 设计适量有针对性的作业旨在培养学生举一反
三、触类旁通能力。
笔者曾经尝试过：在讲授完《米洛斯的维纳斯》后就趁热打铁让学生来分析“残缺的是否一定就是美的”，学生参与讨论甚至争辩的热烈场面真是让人惊喜。这样既锻炼了学生的思辨能力，同时又加深了学生对文本内涵的真正理解，进而推而广之，让学生拓展延伸到对艺术内涵的真正理解。
值得慎重的是，新课程下要在班级教学中做好这一点，教师不可像传统教学中那样急于求成的搞一刀切，非要所有学生把作业按统一格式写在作业本上，而忽视现在的学生大都思维活跃，极富创意的，这样机械的模式一以贯之，很容易挫伤学生学习的积极性。反之，如果教师因材施教、因势利导，完全可以“百家争鸣、百花齐放”。在新课程改革呼声日益高涨的今天，在新课标的指引下，我们语文教师也要有与时俱进的勇气，不断反思语文教育的诸多细节，更新观念、大胆探索。
