1 引言
英语应用文写作课程是高职高专英语教学中的一门基础课程，新课改中提出，高职高专学生需掌握必备的英语知识与应用技能，可以在日常涉外活动和业务活动中用简单的口语或书面语展开沟通交流，要求保持语句通顺、无重大语法失误、表意清楚。在高职高专英语应用考试当中，写作部分均是应用文。但在教学中，这一部分始终没有引起师生们的足够重视。
2 高职高专英语应用文写作教学中现有的问题
2.1 学生英语知识储备薄弱
经过调查发现，高职高专学生在英语科目的入学成绩普遍较低。其中，学生们在写作部分体现的问题大多为词汇储备量不高、语法基础薄弱、文体格式错误较多。很多学生的文章都文不对题，表意不清。学生缺乏系统性学习，对该科目产生了畏惧的心理。
2.2 学生对英语应用文写作的认识与理解不足
学生大多没有意识到掌握好应用文写作对他们未来应用于实际的重要性，因此，在学习过程中很多学生没有认真学习应用文写作，把它当成英语学习中可以被忽略的部分。还有很多学生认为，只要掌握了最基本的写作格式就能很好的掌握英语应用文写作，但他们还没认识到英语应用文写作还应当包含特定的语言特点以及语言语境。学生们在认识与理解上的偏差导致英语应用文写作教学难以顺利开展。
2.3 老师的教学方式落后
传统英语应用文写作教学中，主要是老师对英语范文展开解析，或者由老师点评学生的写作。这种教学方式看重的是写作的结果，没有将英语写作的过程当成重点。同时，一个班级通常由很多学生组成，人数过多导致老师教学压力很大，在有限的时间里批改大量学生作业通常会让老师们在批阅过程中出现很多错误。有部分学生在对待英语写作作业时态度散漫，对老师批复的作业么有进行深入思考和完善，这使得教学没有达到预期目的。
