1体育院校英语教学的现状
1.1体育院校英语教学对象的现状
体育院校学生主要来源于两个方面，一是，体育和运动能力突出的运动人才；二是，高考录取的高中毕业生，这两类学生的文化课水平与普通高校学生有着不小的差距，特别是英语基础和学习英语的兴趣都比较堪忧，一些学生想学英语但是无从下手，一些学生对英语学习有着强烈的为难情绪，这导致体育院校的英语教学存在基础性、认识性的不足和缺失。

首先，体育院校学生对英语课程有比较大的抵触情绪，集中表现为：掌握单词数量不足、口语能力差、学习英语主动性和积极性不高。其次，体育院校学生英语学习习惯不良，对于英语学习采用被动式的方法，导致不能养成预习、复习、练习英语的习惯。其三，体育院校学生英语学习动机的水平不高，大多数体育院校学生对于英语的学习动机集中在应付考试和毕业上。最后，体育院校学生学习英语的目标不明确，受到自身英语能力和周边环境的影响，体育院校学生中存在对英语学习认知不清，不能通过正确的定位建立长远的英语学习目标，这也是他们在学习英语过程中主动放弃的重要原因之一。

3英语教学与体育院校校园文化建设的结合
3.1建立校园的双语标志
在体育院校每一个可利用的角落展示英语。每个教室，办公室，实验室，功能室门牌上都标有英汉两种标识，比如“，医务室（Clinic）”，走廊里“请节约用水（Save Water，please！）”、“靠右走（RightSide）”，“不要随地吐痰（NoSpitting！）”像这样的标识到处可见，让学生时时刻刻都能感受英语的存在，体会英语的作用。
